Create-A-Class

Here's an idea! take the things you want to learn, the time you have available, and put together your own twist — like "Carolingian on Canvas" - we'd take three days and a prep evening before-hand. The evening would be to set up, mark off canvases and start prep on them. Then we'd do a day of backgrounds and learning about types of canvas and media, take a day to work on Carolingian and doing large blocks of text with breaks to add layers to our canvases and start trying our Carolingian with different tools on the backgrounds. The third day we'd move on to trying all sorts of media and tools on our canvases and cut them up to make a book —OK maybe four days would be even better. You could have a one-week retreat working on canvas all week, we'd do the samples plus a larger project to try out your favorites on a finished piece. Or we could take a full week and papercast like crazy. We could do Numbers & Canvas, work on number exercises while various media are drying, have some fun making compositions of numbers.........Use your imagination and make up a really fun class with what your group wants to learn. Have a "Sample Retreat" - a day of canvas, a day of casting, a day to take whatever technique you liked a little further or to stop and look at numbers
